Van Müzesi (Van Museum)
The museum’s building opened in 2019; its displays run from the Palaeolithic to the Ottoman era, with a focus on Urartian finds. It was closed for repairs; check the official page before you go.
As of 22.09.2026, the museum’s official page displayed the notice “Van Müzesi (Van Museum) is closed to visitors for display arrangement and construction repair works”; its status was also listed as “Closed” in the Ministry’s admission fee table.
The building opened in 2019; it has approximately 10,000 square metres of indoor space and 23 exhibition halls. The displays span the Palaeolithic to the Ottoman period, with an emphasis on Urartian artefacts. The address is Yalı Mahallesi Kale Sokak No: 2.
The status may have changed: check the museum’s own page before coming to Van.
