The centre described by Van Büyükşehir Belediyesi (Van Metropolitan Municipality) is in Gevaş district, on a run starting on Mount Artos.
According to the municipality’s record, the 1,200-metre chairlift line has been completed and construction of the 5,000-metre line has begun. The municipality describes Van’s winters as “very long and snowy”.
The season depends on snowfall, and in some years the centre has not opened at all.
